A guide on updating your IMSI on iOS devices

As of November 2024, updating the IMSI on your Smart SIM is no longer required.

Only change your IMSI settings if specifically instructed by the Support Team.

Got yourself a Smart SIM? Here’s how to update its IMSI (International Mobile Subscriber Identity) settings and make sure everything on your iPhone is set up correctly.

Step-by-step guide 🔢

  1. Tap on the Settings app

  2. Tap on Mobile service & and select your Smart SIM

  3. Look for an option called SIM applications

  4. Tap on Telnyx

  5. Tap on IMSI Selection Menu

  6. *Tap on 22201 - Sparkle
    ​(You can confirm this has updated by seeing the asterisk (*) alongside it.)

  7. Confirm Data Roaming is enabled on your new Smart SIM

  8. You should now be able to connect to the other networks 🎉


    *If you are in, or travelling to Italy 🇮🇹, please select BICS or if that fails, then Telnyx
