The bill cap applies to costs that are not included in your normal plan, such as calling or texting international and premium numbers (from any country). The amount you can be charged for these calls and texts is limited by your bill cap.
For example, if your bill cap is set to £0, you won’t be able to make any calls or send any texts that aren’t included in your plan. You can see a full list of these costs in our extra charges guide.
Important: The bill cap does not cover calling or texting UK numbers from outside the UK and EU, or using data (roaming) outside the UK and the EU. These are covered by our separate daily roaming cap.
If your bill cap is set to £5, you can be charged up to £5 for premium or international calls and texts, but you may still be charged more when using your phone abroad (for example, calling UK numbers or using data outside the UK and EU). You can see a full list of roaming costs in our roaming guide.
