If your iMessage number is incorrect the day after your number has switched over to Honest, please turn off your iMessage (Settings > Messages > Toggle iMessage off) and then check the following:
Can you receive texts to your own number
Check which number shows up when you text someone else
Are able to make calls from your own number
Check whether you're able to receive calls to your own number
If you're able to do all the above with your own number, then your iPhone's formatting is wrong and you can try the troubleshooting tips below to fix this.
Steps 🔢
Go to Settings > General > Date & Time and ensure they are correct.
Go to Settings > *Messages > Send & Receive, tap your Apple ID, and select Sign Out
Go to Settings > Messages and toggle iMessage off.
Wait a few minutes and grab a quick coffee/tea whilst everything turns off ☕
Enter your Apple ID, sign back in, and turn iMessage back on and restart your phone
Go to *Phone > My Number and manually change it to your correct number
Go to Settings > Messages and turn off iMessage. Then go to Settings > FaceTime and turn off FaceTime.
Turn off your phone, remove the SIM card, wait 3 minutes, reinsert the SIM, and turn your phone back on.
Go to Settings > Messages and turn iMessage back on. Then go to Settings > FaceTime and turn it back on.
