Blocking numbers on an iPhone

To block numbers on an iPhone:

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Tap Phone

  3. Tap Blocked Contacts

  4. Tap Add New

  5. Add the numbers that you’d like to block

If you want to block a number that called you recently:

  1. Open your Phone app

  2. Click on Recents

  3. Tap the i icon next to the number you want to block

  4. Scroll down and tap Block this caller

If you want to block a number that texted you recently:

  1. Open your Messages app

  2. Click on the conversation with the number you want to block

  3. At the top of the screen click on the number the text came from

  4. Tap info

  5. Scroll down and tap on Block this caller

Blocking numbers on Android devices

To block numbers on Android devices:

  1. Open your Phone app

  2. Click on the three dots in the right hand corner

  3. Tap Blocked Numbers

  4. Tap Add a number

  5. Add the number you'd like to block

To prevent spam text messages:

  1. Open the Google Messages app

  2. Tap the three dots in the top-right corner.

  3. Tap Spam protection

  4. Turn on Enable spam protection

If you want to block a number that texted you recently:

  1. Open the spam text

  2. Tap the three dots icon in the top-right corner.

  3. Tap block number
