A guide on setting up your Smart SIM for the first time on Android

Got your hands on a new Smart SIM? Follow the steps below to get set up.

Step-by-step guide 🔢

  1. Add the Smart SIM QR code to your phone, using the camera of the phone you want your Smart SIM on. If you've only got one phone to hand, follow this guide to add it manually.

  2. Enable Data Roaming on the SIM
    ​

  3. If you have a Google Pixel phone, or have turned on Private DNS yourself, this needs to be turned off. Here's a guide on how to do that.
    ​

  4. Check out the guides on setting the Smart SIM as your Primary or Backup SIM

There's no need to manually change any APNs for the Smart SIM – this should all be done automatically.
