🧠 This guide is for Classic SIMs.

If you're using a Smart SIM, follow this guide instead

If you've got a new phone (or are switching back to an older one) and need to move your eSIM across, you're in the right place.

✅ Before you start

  • Your new phone must support eSIM functionality (Most recent iPhones and many Android devices do, but it's worth double-checking)

  • eSIMs can only be active on one phone at a time, you'll need to request a new one to switch phones

  • Ensure the eSIM is uninstalled from your old device. On iPhone, navigate to Settings > Mobile Service and confirm the SIM shows as 'No SIM.'

  • Back up your device data: Although not related to the eSIM, it is highly recommended to back up your data to prevent loss during the transition.

✉️ Requesting your new eSIM

eSIM transfers aren’t self-serve just yet, but we’ll sort it quickly for you.

To request your new eSIM:

  • Use the Honest Mobile app to reach out to support.

  • Let us know you want to move your eSIM to a new phone

  • We’ll email you a replacement eSIM with a QR code- If your original QR code is no longer available or functional, let us know, and we can reissue or replace it for you.

Tip: If you don’t see the email, check your spam or junk folder Alternatively, manually enter the eSIM activation code: On devices supporting this, navigate to Settings > Connections > SIM card manager, tap 'Add eSIM,' and input the activation code manually from the email.

📲 Installing your eSIM on your new phone

Once you receive your eSIM email:

  1. Open the camera or settings on your new phone(Depending on your device, you'll either scan the QR code or follow in-app steps)

  2. Scan the QR code we sent you

  3. Follow the prompts to complete installation

  4. Let us know the 4-digit code included in your eSIM email so we can finalise the swap

🔧 Troubleshooting

  • Verify if the eSIM has been removed from your old phone before scanning the QR code.

  • Let us know if the activation fails, so we can resend or issue a new eSIM activation code.
